TATIANA SIMONIAN won the L'Oréal Professionnel Design Award at the Central Saint Martins BA show last night, while Agnes Kolignan's gorgeous silk prints and glittering body stockings made her second runner-up and Steve Jung's floral menswear put him in first runner up position. The one we were really waiting for, however,mbt, was the debut collection from Francesca Versace. Niece of Donatella, she boasts a stint of work experience with Giles Deacon on her CV and a position high on the guest list of London's most stylish parties – and after last night her reputation as more than just a party girl living off the fame of her name was pretty impressively proven. Hers last night was the largest collection (no surprise considering the Versace bank accounts),mbt shoes 2010, the best song (a ######ier version of Kiss' "I was made for loving you baby, you were made for loving me…"), and, in fact, the biggest cheer. Today I am leaving for a two week vacation to Europe. My long lost college roommate and I are going to be hitting up Spain and Italy and in Italy Vlad will be meeting up with us for a Gondola ride or two! I am super excited for this vacation and this time will actually be vacationing. We are lucky enough to have someone who will write posts for me while I am gone, Nerdphanie!
