Soft Science is a collection of video-curiosities generated by artists and experts. Behind laboratory doorways are a few of one of the most astonishing outsider artwork projects all over. Autopoetic bacteria, tethered flies, ebullient nanogears – these data gems create wonder, beauty – not to mention knowledge. Soft Science: The Human Animal
Call for Submissions

Soft Science: The Human Animal, will be the second anthology, this time organized approximately a loose theme human-animal relationships or systems. I am looking for short films or videos, which could include allegorical stories, explorations in anthropomorphism or zoomorphism, analysis of ecosystems, documentation of experiments, co-evolution, chimeras, or interspecies collaborations. Animals may be domesticated, imaginary,Office Professional 2010 Key, laboratory, modeled, or wild,Microsoft Office 2010 Home And Student, from fluorescent bacteria to charismatic megafauna. Videos may be documentary, animated,Windows 7 Ultimate Product Key, or narrative; experimental, performative, or critical in nature. They may be produced by artists, scientists, or other mediamakers.

Submitted videos can be up to 20 minutes in length. Assignments should be formatted for presentation as single channel videos to be shown in a theatrical setting as opposed to self-standing installations.

Please send videos as DVD, VHS or Mini-DV tape, formatted for viewing in the US. Alternatively, send me a link by e-mail to a video online. Tapes will not be returned unless you send a self-addressed stamped envelope. You may also send biographical and project information,Microsoft Office 2007 Pro Plus, such as a synopsis, a filmography, and/or a cv. Please send tapes or links by March 1 to:
