love’s labour&nbsp;lost I need to write on the chalkboard 100 times, “I knit because I like it.” I have blocked more than my fair share of knitted items <a href="http://www.cheaptruereligiononline.com/"><strong>cheap true religion online</strong></a> and it’s never been an issue. Â*Knit a pair of socks, soak them for a bit, pat them into shape and Voila! Chausettes. Â*Knit a sweater, soak the pieces for a bit, pat them out making sure the body pieces and the sleeves are the same size, seam them up and, once again, Voila! Â*Un tricot. Not so with Kelly. Â*This is the first time I have ever been told to block sweater pieces to particular measurements. Â*The Mission Falls 136 Merino SuperwashÂ*was softer than soft when I was knitting it (it was, in fact, DIVINE), but boy! <a href="http://www.cheaptruereligiononline.com/specials.html"><strong>cheap true religion</strong></a> did it “grow” during the soaking process. This is possibly the reason for the blocking to certain measurements. Â*The designer was aware of this and realized that if the sweater was going to fit, always a plus in my mind, then something would have to be done. What a laborious process! And the sleeves sleeve was 20 times worse! Â*I was perspiring freely when I finally finished and am taking a break before I face the enormous frustration of the second one. I had to discard the boot during the pinning because I just can’t scramble about on the floor with the thing on. Other than when I am driving, asleep, or in the shower, the boot (or as Tristan refers to <a href="http://www.cheaptruereligiononline.com/specials.html"><strong>true religions</strong></a> it, Robo-Shoe) is my constant companion. I should be able to milk this for all it’s worth, but I live with remarkably unsympathetic people. Â*The only acknowledgement I’ve gotten is yesterday when we took items out to CSUFresno for recycling and I started to get out of the car, Bob said, “Stay put. Â*I’ve got this.” Â*Then I got a lecture on how I need to take care of myself. le sigh As soon as I started the blocking process, Bob started working on the entryway. The pillars are no longer part of a raised architectural feature, but stand on their own like the ones in the dining room (which is where the lumber, etc., is living).
