Springfield long prom dresses, MO) -- The memory of an up and coming Missouri State fashion student is living on through her designs.
Saturday Missouri State seniors showed off their spring fashion collections for class.
One collection really stood out, Haley Graham's collection.
Graham passed away last year from ovarian cancer.
She designed her line of little black dresses for a cause.
Each dress has a splash of color representing a cause that was close to her grad dresses 2011, such as teal for ovarian cancer or red and yellow for Ronald McDonald House.
Her dresses were shown at the Expo Center and are being auctioned off.
The money raised from each dress will go to the organization that the dress represents.
One of those causes is GYN Cancers Alliance.
The organization provides emergency non-medical financial assistance and emotional support to women and their families who suffer from gynecological cancers.
Graham's mom and friends say they are grateful Haley can make a difference, even after her death.
"It's amazing. Haley was always trying to do her best for others and really wanted her collection to speak to her five organizations that she cared deeply about Bridesmaid dresses," said Christy Graham Designer Prom Dresses, Haley's mother. "And when they notified us they were going to do this to honor her Cocktail dresses, it's wonderful"
"Gynecological cancers aren't talked about very much because they are below the belt prom dresses, because people are scared of them. Also, the symptoms are extremely vague: bloating, abdominal pain ball gowns, things that woman ignore because we have them all the time," Shanda Bowling with GYN Cancers Alliance said. "So pink prom dresses, it's really important to raise awareness."
Last June, GYN Cancers Alliance completed a home makeover on Haley's home.
