Earlier this week,ghd website, YSL unveiled its 'New Vintage' collection, designed by YSL's Creative Director Stefano Pilati. The collection is being exclusively sold at Barney's New York. While the oxymoron doesn't escape us,lisseurs ghdS, vintage can be renewed... and YSL has reused vintage remnants and upcycled them into a capsule collection to pamper the increasing ethical demands among luxury shoppers. A great idea... let's hope the remaining fashion houses cotton on. Upcycling,salon straighteners, 'new vintage', whichever way you fancy calling it, is arguably the most eco consious way to wear clothes. So while this may miss the mark for true vintage lovers, it may spark interest among fashionistas who dig an upcycling approach.
