Now the business' owners, 49-year-old Keashia Johnson and Shaday Williams, 19,

Detectives with the Caddo-Shreveport Financial Crimes Task Force followed up on citizen complaints and visited 13 businesses in search of counterfeit goods. Designer clothing and accessories, music CDs and DVD movies not licensed by the manufacturer were confiscated from eight locations in Caddo Parish.
"This is very serious when we are talking about over a million dollars," Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator said during a press conference on Friday. "They are selling things that are not taxed and the money is not traced. And a lot of the money from the United States is used to fund terrorist activity, that's why it's so important that we stop this."
The largest haul came from the hobby shop where investigators seized 66,800 music CDs, 19,300 movie DVDs and other merchandise valued at $430,500, the sheriff said. Other items seized during the joint operation were watches,

"This is an ongoing investigation," said Deputy Bobby Herring with Caddo sheriff's office. "And ac
power cording to representatives from the movie industry, it's the largest bust they've seen in the past five years for the movies and music."
Williams and Johnson, who also goes by the name of Sharon Foster, face charges of counterfeiting/possessing counterfeit labels and illegal use of counterfeit trademarks, Herring said. Both women were issued cease-and-desist orders during a similar investigation last year. However, they relocated their business and continued selling counterfeit merchandise.
"We arrested these women because they were warned last year," Prator said.
This week, representatives of the manufacturing companies issued cease-and-desist orders to a private residence on Gloria Street, as well as Regal Tire Shop on Hearne Avenue, and Scotty's on Lamar Avenue. Business owners at Showtime on Hearne Avenue, A-1 Stop on Stoner Avenue, R&W Consumers on Hollywood Avenue and Shreveport Super Store on Thomas Avenue voluntarily surrendered their ######## merchandise, Prator said.
In all, investigators seized 66 watches, 14 nfl jerseys nfl jerseys, 309 purses(
