Lately, it seems plenty of my readers are scoring interviews with Microsoft … a minimum of, the enhance in e-mail telling me about latest interviews signifies that trend. Typical emails begin with something like, “Last week, I was in Redmond for my interviews, and ….” Other recruiters have told me stories about walking interview candidates by my office and having the person exclaim, “Oh, I know who she is!” But wouldn’t you know it … I am never in my office when that happens! And now that I sit on the first floor again,Office 2010 Activation, I frequent our lobby a whole lot more often. (If you must know,Windows 7 Home Premium Key, we have one restroom on the first floor of my building, and it’s located in the lobby. I know … too much information. But I also use the main lobby staircase instead of our creaky,Windows 7 Ultimate Key, on-their-last-leg back stairs. Yikes!) But regardless, I make a few trips a day out into the zoo that is known as the Building 19 lobby … and every time I make the trek, I am so hoping someone will stop me and say,Microsoft Office 2007 Enterprise, “Oh,Office Professional, I know who you are.” But then never do. :( It could be that they are looking for a cute South Park character …. Hmmmm…. So I want to extend an open invitation. For anyone who has an interview in Redmond and who begins and ends their journey between the walls of glorious Building 19, I invite you to stop in a say hi. I have a pretty booked calendar so I usually can’t schedule a time to meet in advance … but it’s totally ok to ask the receptionist to call me from the lobby or (if you are on the first floor) to ask your recruiter to walk you by my office. (It’s 19/1027.) I think blogs are an excellent way to make a connection … but I think it’s even more powerful to make connections in person. And since you all know who I am (but I rarely know who you are), I love to meet the people who learn about me ... and still want to work at Microsoft! gretchen
