Default onitsuka tiger The FedEx Cup - Has It Lived Up to

Packing for your trip - for women. What to pack and how to pack it, two of the most asked questions on vacation planning. It seems that most people are now beginning to pay attention to their packing with the new restrictions and costs involved in taking suitcases on planes (weight allowances have dropped and check in costs have risen). For the most part people are happy booking packages and even going to specialist travel agents to book safaris or other adventure travel, many go the independent route and book it all themselves asics shoes for sale Do You Know Toenail Fungus Na, so although there are still plenty of questions related to travel planning with respect of actual travel, more and more people ask about packing! So what are the best tips?Let's start with what you pack your belongings in, invest in a good quality lightweight case, either a holdall type or suitcase, whichever is your preference. Because you don't want to have to carry it, even if you have packed lightly, get something with wheels and make sure it's stable on those wheels onitsuka tiger!
Charlie Hoffman: Prior to the FedEx Playoffs Charlie had not won a tournament on the PGA tour this year. He had 4 top ten finishes in 22 PGA events and no top 3 finishes and made 17 cuts. But Charlie did win the 2nd FedEx Cup playoff tournament.
Although I'm looking forward to the Ryder Cup so much more than the conclusion of the FedEx Cup, I want a Golf World Series. The FedEx Cup just doesn't do it for me.
Now let's look at what you're actually going to put in this ultimate of cases! Questions to ask yourself before you decide.Where am I going, is it hot, cold, changeable?
How long am I going for, a weekend, a week a month?
What sort of trip is it, business, pleasure?
Will there be activities, swimming, surfing, golf, walking, climbing, hang gliding?
Who am I going with, family, friends, work colleagues, romantic partner? The weather at your destination, will dictate a lot as to what clothes you pack, other considerations are if it's a beach or camping/hiking trip will there be bugs? If so which and is there anything I need to do to counteract them?Think about whether you need 'smart' clothes, casual, or a mixture. If it's a business trip then you probably need both business smart and casual smart. Take a look at your wardrobe and sort out the colours you have, aim for a basic building block colour like black, grey or white, you can then team these with brighter colours and mix and match.
Although all Championships have at least a seemingly complex list of rules to determine tiebreakers nothing compares to the endless point system developed by the PGA for it's Championship. Did anyone ever have to explain to you the rules for the World Series? How about the NBA Championship? The Super Bowl? World Cup? Never! The PGA uses a point system to determine the FedEx Cup Champion, not wins and losses or ties but points which are reset for the finale. I believe that is the point, the point system used by golf doesn't work. Let me explain with just one example:
1. FedEx regular season - Players are given points based upon where they finish in each tournament they play. Points are accumulated and are used to determine qualifiers for the FedEx Playoffs. Some tournaments are considered more important than others so the points are increased for those tournaments. This seems to be a very good indicator of how well a player performed for the entire year.
3. PGA Money List - This list accumulates the amount of money won in PGA events with the leading money winner first on the list. This is also a good list to use, with some exceptions most players participating in the FedEx Championship play on the PGA tour. We will not use the exceptions in our examples.
Next Time: My FedEx Super Bowl of Golf
Before I get to the example, I need to visit the criteria I used to explain my point. I will use 4 different player ratings in my discussion.
Ernie's current rankings:
Now lets take a look at a golfer not ranked in the 5 (the top 5 going into the Championship have a huge advantage. If they win the Championship tournament they win the FedEx cup no matter how many players end up with more points).
If you look, not necessarily closely at the data something is wrong with this photo! Ernie has been by far the better player throughout the year when compared to Charlie. Ernie can win the Championship tournament and still not win the FedEx Cup. According to the "the reset explainer" data provided by the PGA to explain the point system, if Ernie wins the Championship tournament and Charlie finishes 2nd we have a tie and a playoff for the Cup.
This brings up yet another issue. If Ernie wins the Championship tournament and Charlie ties him in points by finishing 2nd. Has Ernie now won 3 tournaments for the year? If Charlie wins the playoff is that considered a tournament win (Ernie won the Championship tournament) or just the Cup and 10 million dollars? What about the World Golf Ranking? Does Charlie get credit/points for winning the Cup? It's not a tournament.
What is the desired outcome of the FedEx Cup? Does the the PGA want a World Series? A Super Bowl? A NBA Championship? A World Cup? The current system is second rate to any of the above. Why? Some golfers who have preformed at the elite level for the entire year have been superseded by year end flash-in-the-pan performances with little hope of capturing the Cup.
The World Golf Ranking, PGA Money List and FedEx Playoff placings included his win in the Playoffs which of course improves his position post Playoffs.
In my opinion this is not equitable, is confusing and poorly designed. Put another way, this just doesn't make any sense.
Charlies current rankings:
2. World Golf Rankings - Players participating in any of the 6 world Major Tours, including the Nationwide Tour, accumulate points similar to the FedEx regular season for two years. A complex algorithm emphasizes the most current 13 months. This is also logical and somewhat reflective of all golfers results.
FedEx regular season - 1st
World Golf Ranking - 11st
PGA Money List - 3rd
FedEx Playoffs - 8th
Ernie Els: Ranked 8th for the FedEx Playoffs. Prior to the FedEx Playoffs Ernie had won 2 PGA tournaments. He had 2 top 3 finishes, 6 top tens, 12 top twenty fives and made 16 cuts out of 19 tournaments.
4. FedEx Playoffs and Championship - Get out your calculators, slide rules and abacuses. I refuse to key in the volumes it would take to adequately describe the criteria and why, if that is possible. I will however show you what I believe to be it's HUGE weaknesses.
FedEx regular season - 77th
World Golf Ranking - 51st
PGA Money List - 27th
FedEx Playoffs - 2nd
