The decline (not demise) of the necktie was already well entrenched before Obama came along and it was not brought about by the media. Outside of small groups of men such as we have here, I don't think I've ever known many men who wanted to wear a tie. They did it though wholesale jordan high heels , in many cases every day, but not because it was something they desired. For example, I wore a tie nearly every day for 30 years womens air jordans , but for reasons other than it was what I wanted to do. Many christian louboutin sample sale , if not most, men will tell you that they hate wearing a tie. And even if they don't hate it, it isn't at the top of their list of things they like to do. Somewhere along the way, perhaps with leisure suits in the 70's or with the dawning of casual Friday, the door was opened for men to ditch the necktie; and they did so in droves. All of a sudden men everywhere, from corporate leaders to celebrities to TV personalities to ordinary men, were wearing their dress clothing such as suits and sport coats without neckties. Pick up a copy of Forbes, Business Week, or Fortune magazine and look at how many of the rich and powerful are leaving the ties at home. Now that the door is opened I will be surprised if things ever return to the way they used to be. The necktie won't disappear. I suspect that it will remain the uniform of the day for many businessmen and executives, and for noteworthy events such as weddings, funerals, etc.; but I believe that the days of seeing a sea of men wearing neckties on the street everyday are gone.
