Greinke begins throwing

Greinke is still a long way from throwing off a mound,Wholesale Tapout Hats, much less pitching in a game. But Friday’s game of catch at least marked a milestone in his comeback.
Good news this morning from Brewers manager Ron Roenicke,Cheap Boston Red Sox Hats, who said that right-hander Zack Greinke is pain-free and played catch on Friday at Maryvale Baseball Park. It’s his first step back from a cracked left rib suffered earlier this spring.

– No surprise here,Wholesale Cincinnati Reds Hats, but catcher Mike Rivera has been told he won’t make the team. He’ll go to Triple-A Nashville instead to back-up catcher Martin Maldonado and to play some first base.
– With the caveat that nothing is set until the roster is submitted Thursday morning,cheap NFL Hats, it appears that left-handers Zach Braddock and Mitch Stetter will both make the Opening Day bullpen. – Catcher Jonathan Lucroy was talking about taking batting practice on Sunday and will visit Dr. Don Sheridan on Monday,Monster Energy Hats wholesale, at which time he could be cleared to play in Minor League games. Lucroy is coming back from a fractured right pinkie finger. I also spoke again with right fielder Corey Hart,Cheap Minnesota Twins Hats, who said he’s still making progress with his left oblique strain.
