The Suunto X10 is a multi-function watch designed for outdoor adventure, backcountry travel, and military use. Suunto has a strong reputation for high quality watches, and this watch includes a laundry list of features. Like other GPS watches, it records speed, geographical route, and distance, and this data can be imported to a computer to keep personal training and travel records, and to recreate navigational routes. This lightweight GPS watch also features many elements not found in a typical GPS watch. It serves as a barometer (with a storm watch feature), thermometer, and digital compass. It is also waterproof to a depth of 330 feet/100 meters. Unfortunately, this watch has a reputation for poor craftsmanship. Several owners have reported that the watch face and buttons have fallen off due to poor adhesive. They say that Suunto’s customer service representatives were helpful and swift, honoring the product’s two year warranty and sending replacement watches in a short amount of time. But when the replacements come with the same problems as the originals, it may have been worth it to buy a different watch in the first place. Read Full Review
