A very dear friend of mine told me the very jovial and humorously true story about how she was able to purchase a pair of boots that she really liked. However, she didn't have any money. To make herself feel really good, she decided to "splurge" by going window shopping. But instead of standing outside of the window of the department store she decided to visit, she went inside and took in the sights, sounds and emotions of being in the shoe section of the store. This in and of itself brought a surge of excitement to her.
She wanted to literally feel what it was like to wear the shoes that she set her sights on. She tried on pair after pair of boots and shoes. Notwithstanding the work of the shoe salesman, she continued to indulge in her fantasy, but real, shoe shopping spree!
Her pockets were empty, but she was filling herself up with the energy of "having it now." She set her heart upon one pair of very stylish boots (I can't even lie! I want those boots too!!!--lol). She liked the boots so much, that after about 2 hours of trying on shoes, she asked the tired, and now frustrated salesman to hold the boots for her.

She even took it a step further. She didn't simply let the 24 hours expire without the chance of her getting the boots. She made it a priority to call the store every day after that and request the boots be held until she was able to purchase them.
Not sure where the money would come from or how long it would take before she would have the money in hand to actually buy them, She was determined to have them, and never entertained the thought of not having them for long.
The entire process was invigorating and wonderful for her. She thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of the shopping trip although she left with no shoes or boots physically in her hand. She simply left with the very "real" experience of "having the boots now!" with no disappointment or sadness. Just wonderful, good feeling emotions & lots of smiles.
