October 30, 2009Baby its cold outside!!!
There have been some terrible storms all around the world in the last couple of weeks. These sudden changes in the weather are yet another reminder that summer is long gone and for the sun lovers among us, it is going to be a long winter!
For retailers some of the slowest months of the year are October, November and January. During these months customers are only looking for sale items or things that are considered necessity items and even then they are looking for the best possible prices. So it is a challenge for retailers to appeal to customers during these slow months. In order to make it through these slow months, retailers must also find the best prices possible on the items that they carry and also finding new items that they can sell for a healthy profit.
One item that retailers can make a good-sized profit on is wholesale caps and hats. The wholesale rates for caps and hats are around $2.50 each and retail for $8.00-$12.00 depending on the market. Fall and winter are the perfect seasons for these items. Styles ranging from Christian designs to Military and Veteran caps, and even kids sizes can be found.
So if you are a retailer in need of some warmth for your cash register, try adding wholesale caps to your inventory. If you are low on sunglass stock, you may consider stocking up as you can find some pretty good deals this time of year.
