Chapter 1: The Meeting Between Hunter and Vampire

The moon illuminated the dark sky above the city of London, England. A lone woman stood at the highest point of the city, an emotionless expression on her face. The woman's long black hair swayed with the small breeze, her black trench coat doing the same. Under the trench coat she wore an oversized black sweater and a short red skirt. This woman was Alundra Blazer, a vampire hunter working for the VHA. The VHA, Vampire Hunter Association, was the biggest alliance of vampire hunters in the world. Alistar Vayner, the head of the alliance, had sent Alundra to London to exterminate a very dangerous vampire. This vampire had caused a mass amount of deaths in the area recently and even the outside world was beginning to get suspicious of all the victims having bite marks. Alundra had to kill this vampire before the outside world could figure out the truth about the world she lived in. The world where vampires weren't the hunter, they were the hunted.
Alundra hadn't been given many details on the vampire, only his name. Edmund Klavier was the name of the vampire she needed to kill�� No the vampire she would kill! Alundra's nose suddenly perked up, the scent of a vampire filling her nose. A trained hunter could never miss a vampire's scent, it was very unique. It wasn't so much a bad smell but it was very intoxicating. A rookie hunter could very easily become overwhelmed by the scent and fall prey to an experienced vampire.
The hunter took off, heading towards the scent quickly. Alundra jumped onto the roof of a warehouse, a shadowed man awaiting her there. Alundra quickly got into a fighting stance, glaring at the man before her. The man smirked,aanbieding ugg, running a hand through his short dirty brown hair.
"What's wrong, girl?" The man asked in a sarcastic tone. "You seem to be greeting me with quite an angry expression. I'm not sure what I could have done to deserve this. "Cut the crap, vamp!" Alundra yelled through gritted teeth. "I know that you're the vampire who has been killing people in this town. You have to be the one with such an intoxicating scent. I'm just glad to have finally found you, Edmund Klavier!"
The man looked Alundra over before bursting into a deep laughter. "You're mistaken, lass. I am a vampire but I am not Edmund Klavier. I don't wish to be associated with that piece of trash."
Alundra's face went pale, the realization hitting her that she might have the wrong target. "If you're not Edmund Klavier then who are you? You can't be a low ranking vamp with such a scent. It's one of the most powerful I've ever smelled."
"My name is Jack�� Jack Klavier"
"WHAT?" Alundra practically screamed in shock. "You're related to Edmund Klavier? That means you must know where he is. You can either tell me or I'll have to beat it out of you!"
"You don't listen very well, do you girl?" Jack asked Alundra in an annoyed voice. "I am related to Edmund, yes. In fact, I'm his little brother. However, I do not know where he is. I haven't been in contact with him for several years. I don't associate with murdering trash like him."
Alundra's face stiffened, the hunter staring at Jack. She had heard of vampires like this before who avoided killing humans if possible. She wasn't sure if Jack was lying or not but he seemed to be telling the truth. "Alright�� I believe you. Can you give me any information to help me in my search for him?"
"Why should I have to help you?" Jack asked in a bored voice. "I'm a vampire. I'm not going to sell out one of my kind to a hunter even if that vampire is my piece of trash brother. I'm not lying to you when I say that I have no idea where he is currently. However, I'm not going to help you in your mission. I think you can handle that one on your own, sweetie."
A vein throbbed on Alundra's forehead, the hunter clenching her fist tightly. "I'm getting pretty sick of you calling me all these pet names. I've tried to be civil with you but if you're going to refuse to help me then I have no choice. I'm going to have to beat the help out of you!"
Jack chuckled as he opened his eyes wide. The vampires golden eyes illuminated through the dark, seemingly piercing a hole right through Alundra. "If that's the way you're going to have it, then so be it. I won't kill you though, tart. I'm going to do something far worse."
Alundra raised an eyebrow, a black sword suddenly appearing in her hands. "I'm guessing that you're going to try to turn me into a vamp. The most disgusting disgrace a hunter can have befall them."
The vampire eyed Alundra's sword, a grin rising up his lips. "That's right, baby. I'm going to bite your pretty little neck and claim you as my own prize. I hope you'll enjoy having sharp teeth!" Jack bellowed, flashing his own pointy teeth at Alundra.
Alundra's eyes widened in shock; Jack already in her face. Alundra swung her sword at Jack, the vampire dodging it with incredible ease. The vampire reared back, slamming his right fist into Alundra's face. The hunter screamed out, skidding backwards from the impact. Jack grinned, looking at the red mark now coating Alundra's cheek.
"It pains me to have to hurt such a beauty," the vampire said in a silky smooth voice. "I think I'll end this now. Prepare yourself for the bite, lass!"
"I'm not going to lose to a vampire like you that easy!" Alundra growled, rising to her feet. "I am Alundra Blazer, the 25th best hunter in the VHA,moncler jakke billig! I won't lose to someone like you!"
"25th?" Jack repeated with a devious smirk. "That means nothing to me. I might care if you were Travis Silo or Julian Gigento. They are hunters worthy of fear and renown. You, though? I've never even heard your name!"
"Maybe you can tell somebody about me after I BEAT YOUR FACE IN," Alundra screamed as she sped towards Jack. Jack was surprised at her sudden onslaught, barely able to evade a slash from her sword. Alundra shoved her sword upward,UGG Ireland Sale, a blast of lightning suddenly shooting out towards Jack. Jack cursed, the lightning shocking his body.
The vampire collapsed to his knees, Alundra walking up to him in a confident swagger. "Did you think that I was a mere sword user? Any highly ranked hunter will have a few tricks up their sleeve. I expected more from you, considering how highly you think of yourself!"

"We vampires have a couple tricks up our sleeves, too. Only a rookie hunter would be so naive as to get this close to a vampire. I expected more from you, considering how highly you think of yourself."
Alundra couldn't even scream, her entire body suddenly becoming paralyzed. Jack rose to his feet, walking towards the immobile Alundra with a vile smirk. The vampire put his cold hand to Alundra's face, feeling her delicate fair skin. Jack then whipped his hand back and slapped her across the face. All Alundra could do was glare at Jack, the vampire bursting into laughter.
"You're at my mercy, little rabbit. Unfortunately for you, I'm not very merciful. I am not a murderer but when someone provokes me�� I can get a little crazy." Jack said before slapping Alundra across the face repeatedly. Jack continued the onslaught, only stopping when Alundra's entire face had become swollen. Jack laughed wickedly, admiring his handy work.
The vampire lowered his eyes, noticing Alundra's red skirt. "My, my�� Is this short skirt the attire that a female hunter is required to wear?" Jack asked Alundra, knowing that he wouldn't receive an answer. Alundra's eyes widened, Jack's hand suddenly traveling under her skirt. Jack grinned wider; leaning into Alundra's bruised face. "It's time," he said before biting Alundra's neck viciously. Alundra blacked out, Jack's golden eyes the last thing she saw.
