Kristen Stewart‘s Vogue cover leaked last week and now the official cover story, plus photos from her spread, shot by Mario Testino, are up on Vogue.com.
Vogue‘s cover girls are often made to look too “Vogue”–too sleek and plastic and photoshopped but Stewart looks every bit the angst-ridden 20-year-old we know and love on February’s cover. She looks beautiful, and a little miserable. Which is kind of how she looks on every red carpet.
Stewart’s Vogue fittingly seizes on her love for Proenza Schouler. She’s wearing Proenza on the cover and in almost every image Vogue has released from her editorial. For emphasis, she even poses with Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez in one shot, the boys looking dashing in tuxedos. Her reluctance to smile, ever, notwithstanding, Stewart looks more gorgeous in her editorial than on the cover. Vogue lightened her hair for the shoot, which softens her look in a good way.
One thing we learned about Stewart from her profile that completely endeared her to us? She’s a huge Food Network fan and her friends tease her for watching “with a stern frown of concentration on her face.” For lunch during this interview she apparently prepared a delicious Mexican tortilla soup (here’s her recipe) and pulled-pork sandwiches.
