How To Beat The New Baby Blues
Having a baby can be one of the most joyous events in a woman's life, however, sometimes new moms can feel down or depressed after their babies are born. These "baby blues", also called postpartum depression, can make life very difficult as moms struggle to meet the demands of their babies. Women who are experiencing postpartum depression symptoms should take the following actions to help themselves cope with the condition.
1. Rest.
The demands of motherhood can be overwhelming. No amount of preparation during pregnancy can prepare a woman for the sleepless nights that lie ahead. The demanding feeding schedule of a newborn does not lend itself to a restful night's sleep, and moms can become very weary.
