Default Windows 7 X86 The Washington Monthly

Sneak Preview: Too Small to Fail We are previewing this important article in conjunction with today's New America Foundation and Washington Monthly event. Read Steve's post,Office 2010 Product Key, and at 12:15PM eastern you can attend the live Webcast. POLITICIANS CAUGHT ACCIDENTALLY TELLING THE TRUTH.... Incidents surrounding live mics are some of my favorites -- unexpected candor can be revealing. Take this gem out of Iowa, for example. (thanks to Blue Girl for the tip) A snafu during a legislative debate where a microphone was turned on captured banter between two Iowa GOP leaders,Windows 7 Professional Key, who also joked about a "give-a-handgun-to-a-schizophrenic bill." Republicans this week revived a proposal that would allow Iowans to carry weapons in public without permission from a sheriff, without background checks and without training requirements. The conversation was between some of the top leaders of the Iowa State House. The Assistant Majority Leader asked about the bill known as "Alaska carry," unclear on what it is. The Speaker Pro Tem responded,Windows 7 X86, "The crazy, give-a-handgun-to-a-schizophrenic bill." At that point,Office 2007, the GOP leaders were made aware of the live mic, and it was promptly turned off. What's perhaps most amusing about this is the fact that one of the Republican leaders in the legislature considers the bill "crazy,Windows 7 X64," and believes it may put firearms in the hands of schizophrenics, but he supports the bill anyway. —Steve Benen 8:25 AM Permalink | Trackbacks | Comments (16)
