Critique Summary
As far as layout and ergonomics go,
Microsoft Office 2010 Pro, the Lenovo ThinkPad X100e has the very best keyboard and trackpad I’ve used on an 11.6 incher,
Office 2010, and on top of that it’s matte all over including the display. Not to mention being quite quiet. Doesn’t get any better than that. Efficiency,
Office Professional Plus 2010 Key, on the other hand,
Office 2007 Pro, while good running at full performance, dips to netbook level speeds when running on battery mode. Battery lifestyle ranges from 3 - four hrs on most occasions.
The X100e is clearly a large netbook (cheap) aimed at business users who aren’t particular fussy about long battery daily life or fast overall performance.
Note that this evaluation is done with the single core AMD Athlon Neo MV-40 processor (1.6GHz). There is a dual core Athlon Neo X2 L335 and Turion Neo XS2 L625 processors.
Where Can I buy it?
Amazon has the Athlon Neo MV-40 X100e in Black for $489.99
