Awesome job. OK, so maybe you do not have a netbook that’s really easy to work with. Maybe,Microsoft Office 2007 Pro, you have the infinitely complicated Acer Aspire One. Quite frankly, you’re planning to have a hard time getting to that RAM.
You’ll have to remove the screws from the back (two of them are hidden under the rubber feet); take off the keyboard; remove even more screws; and then, ever-so-gently, reach inside to grab the RAM. Now that you have installed the RAM into your netbook, let’s make sure you did it right. First, set everything back together. Set the battery back in too, n00b, due to the fact you’re planning to need power.
Turn on your netbook and press the F2 button while it boots.
This will take you to the BIOS. Scroll down to where you see the computer’s RAM. If it says the amount that you just installed, then you did a good job! If it does not say anything at all, or if it shows some whacky number that doesn’t make any sense, then you have totally messed this up.
