Although I may have a legit copy of Windows 7 Enterprise,
Cheap Microsoft Office 2010, (my college’s MSDN all the way) it seems as though the crackers of the internet have already busted open Windows 7 Ultimate and activated it with an OEM key. According to MyDigitalLife, the crack allows for a Windows 7 installation that is “permanently activated with OEM style instant offline activation which will pass Windows Genuine Advantage (WGA) validation.” Again, MyDigitalLife describes the process: “all hell breaks loose when a Windows seven Ultimate OEM DVD ISO from Lenovo been leaked and posted on a Chinese forum. The ISO was quickly grabbed to retrieve boot.wim, which was then used to retrieve the OEM-SLP product key and OEM certificate for Windows 7 Ultimate.”
MyDigitalLife also states this:
Both 32-bit and 64-bit (x86 and x64) Windows 7 Ultimate system should and can be activated immediately. For Windows seven Professional, Windows 7 Home Premium, Windows seven Home Basic,
Cheap Office 2010 Key, and Windows 7 Starter,
Office Home And Business Key, the OEM-SLP keys haven’t been leaked, thus can’t be OEM-activated yet. It’s expected that various Windows seven activators, Windows seven activation toolkits,
Office Professional Plus, Windows 7 Loaders and etc are expected to be released by various hackers soon.
It has been confirmed that Windows seven uses the same OEM certificate as Windows Vista (fail). The important thing is that the BIOS is modified to include SLIC 2.1 (a similar tactic was also used in the original crack for Windows Vista). The crack is OEM exclusive (will work on any brand,
Cheap Office Professional 2007, even though it was ripped from a leaked Lenovo DVD)
Although Windows7News does not endorse/support/advise piracy in any form whatsoever (and ask you to support Microsoft by buying their products), it’s interesting to see that hackers have already broken the operating system before it’s even released.
