"The 13 Reang-Bru refugees got killed after a fire broke out in their Naisinghpara camp in the north of Tripura. It was an accidental fire which engulfed the camp at 12:00 p.m. and the victims got no time to escape the inferno," said the official on the phone pleading anonymity.
"So far 13 bodies are recovered. The death toll is expected to go up," the official said.
Though it seemed to be an accidental fire, a probe has been ordered to ascertain the exact cause of the fire, he added.
