Microsoft offers free templates for you to use at home and at work for various types of projects such as brochures, greeting cards and award certificates. The templates are listed in categories or you can do a search for a specific template right on the site.
The templates are made for many different Office programs such as Word, Excel and Outlook. Some can be used for most versions of Office while others can be used only on specific or newer versions of Office.

Once you find the template you like you can click on it to download it and open it with the appropriate Office program. From there you can make your changes and customize it to suit your needs. You can then save it as your own document or template to use later.
If you have one of your own templates that you created you can submit it on the site so others can take advantage of it and use it for themselves. Or you can make a suggestion for a template that you would like to see created. There is even a discussion forum for help with making or using these templates or you can access the Microsoft help area for more resources.
