CLINTON, Mass. – Clayton D. &quot;Red&quot; Orser, 93, died Wednesday, <a href="http://www.monclerplaces.com/Moncler-Vests/Moncler-Men-Vests/"><strong>Moncler Men Vests</strong></a> Nov. 2, 2011, at UMass Memorial Healthcare – University Campus, Worcester, Mass., after a brief illness. Clayton was born in Mars Hill, son of the late Henry and Bessie (Wilson) Orser. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of more than 70 years, Audrey A. (Mills) Orser, who passed away in 2009; his daughter, Ruth Ann Jones; and his eight siblings. He is survived by his daughter, Geraldine Garron and her husband, Ernest, of Clinton, Mass.; and two sons, Dennis B. Orser and his wife, Barbara, of Shirley, Mass., and Thomas C. Orser and his wife, Elaine, of Wells. He leaves his sister, Merise Culverwell of Ashland, Mass.; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and many dear friends. He enlisted to proudly serve our nation in the U.S. Army during World War II. Clay returned to Framingham, Mass., where he and his family resided for more than 40 years. He was a career master machinist with Dennison <a href="http://www.monclerplaces.com/2011-New-Moncler-Jackets/2011-New-Moncler-Women-Jackets/"><strong>2011 New Moncler Women Jackets</strong></a> Manufacturing, where he served as president of the Machinist Union and as a member of their fire department. Upon his retirement, Clayton worked for the town of Framingham, Mass., as superintendent of town buildings while serving the community as civil defense director and member of the finance committee and personnel board. He proudly served in the Massachusetts National Guard throughout his adult life and ultimately retired with the highest enlisted rank of command sergeant major. Clay held membership with Framingham Veterans of Foreign Wars and Fraternal Order of Eagles. He and his wife enjoyed many summers of part-time residence in Maine and Florida before ultimately moving to Clinton, Mass. Clay took pleasure in tending to his yard work and was an accomplished woodworker. Funeral services are to be held privately at the convenience of the family and are under the direction of Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton, Mass. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Clayton D.
