Abstract Art : Beginning an Abstract Acrylic Painting on Stretched ...

I've been working in small sizes on panels and odd sizes (&quot;tall&quot; paintings) on canvas, but now I'm back to painting on a large stretched canvas (44&quot; x 44&quot;).  Typically I begin an abstract painting with some sort of background to work off and then continue in an intuitive expressionist <a href="http://www.mmogarden.com/rift-gold-29.html"><strong>rift platinum</strong></a> manner. This time I began with a plan in mind--an idea of what I wanted to do with this painting.  It was going to take several layers, and this first one is a background starting on the bottom with a medium cadmium red and working my way up through oranges, <a href="http://www.3zoom.com/aion-All/aion-account-22-3389.html"><strong>Aion Accounts</strong></a> yellows, and parchment to white at the top.   Canvas #125, 44&quot; x 44&quot; acrylic on canvas.
