Emma Watson as the new face of Burberry
Advertising campaign images for Burberry featuring Emma Watson, the young Harry Potter actress, have been disclosed.

With black, smoky eye-make up and windy cilia, Emma Watson looks a far cry from the young Harry Potter heroine Hermione Granger in her latest incarnation as the "face" of British form tag Burberry.

The 19 year-old actress confirms a sophisticated and adult look in the images, as she models signature items - such as the classic trench wrap and accessories, adorned at the iconic Burberry retard, from the heritage brand's forthcoming autumn/winter 2009/10 collection.
Watson, who namely carving out a figure as a leading manner icon - caught the eye of Burberry's inspired director, the Yorkshireman Christopher Bailey, who said: "Having known and admired the lovely Emma Watson because some period, she was the apparent choice as this movement. Emma has a classic prettiness, a large temperament and a modern edge. Her fascination and wit and gifted sense of amusement made the whole shoot feel favor a picnic on the Thames."
The advertising campaign, which was shot by celebrated fashion photographer Mario Testino and directed by Bailey, was set in Westminster, central London, family to Burberry's new universal headquarters by Horseferry House, SW1.
In an image, the River Thames is clearly visible in the backdrop, conveying what Bailey cries a 'wonderfully historic portion of London' to reflect the wealthy history and modernity of the Burberry brand.
