This morning, Fashion Week mastermind IMG announced that it has created a Project Runway-themed video game in conjunction with 505 Games and Lifetime. The game is set to be released later on this year.
Of course, this isn’t the first fashionable game to come along. H&M set up shop in The Sims all the way back in 2007 and since then, fashion gaming titles have included “Fashion Week: Junior Stylist,” released by 505 in June 2009 and “Style Lab: Makeover,” part of the Style Lab line from Ubisoft.
A source within the gaming industry–who has played a role in creating of few of these titles–says that right now, there’s a huge market for fashion games. Her company, along with its competitors, have entire teams dedicated to the subject.
