We have exclusive word straight from the folks at HP about what makes the upcoming Dr. Dre HP Envy laptop so freakin’ special. The most obvious difference is the all black matte casing with the glowing Dr. Dre “Beats” logo on the top…Yea. Hell Yea… but it doesn’t take a computer genius to see that difference. What will make the Dr. Dre x HP Envy so special in which they declare as the “Mac killer” is not just the sleek design but true to Dr. Dre style…it’s all about the sound. The HP Envy will be the first laptop to  feature a “cutting-edge” sound system designed by Dr. Dre’s sound engineers labeled “Beats Audio.” The “Beats Audio” sound software was developed by the same folks that engineer Dre’s tracks and also helped design the Beats by Dre headphone line.


HP would not give us any further details at this time about the Beats Audio software but did mention for us (and our readers) to be on the lookout for more information as the HP Envy and the Dr. Dre Edition hit stores on October 18th with prices starting at a very Mac-like $1,dre beats,699 and up. Rumors that the Dr. Dre edition will include the Beats by Dre headphones were neither confirmed or denied. More info. to come. More pics after the jump…
