It’s pretty wacky that a volcano in Iceland is affecting travel plans in Gainesville.
But take it from me,
Microsoft Office Ultimate 2007, that’s exactly the case. I have a long-awaited trip to Europe scheduled for this weekend,
Windows 7 Home Premium, so I’m nervously checking news stories with updates on airspace closures to see if the flight will depart as planned.
The University of Florida has plenty of folks whose plans also hinge on the news. UF has one study-aboard trip to Rome that leaves Saturday and received word today that the students will be able to fly out if there are no changes to the situation,
Office 2007, according to the director of the UF International Center.
Other study-aboard trips are scheduled to start on May 2 or later,
Office Professional Plus, so officials hope things will return to normal by then. There are also international students who are scheduled to return home at the end of the semester.
Do you have travel plans that have been (or could be) affected by the volcano? E-mail me your story and a contact number at nathan.crabbe@gvillesun.com.
