A lot of people will simply buy a whole new pair of glasses whenever one of their lenses breaks or is lost, or when they’re given a new prescription. However there’s simply no need to spend quite so much on a new pair of glasses just for replacement lenses.

The only issue you might come across with sunglasses is if they are particularly curved. If you do have excessively curved sunglasses it’s worth checking with your local optician via the phone or internet before taking your frames in as they sometimes have issue reglazing frames above a certain curvature.
If your frame is broken, then you’ll almost certainly need to purchase a new pair, as you can replace frames quite as easily. If you hava damaged but not broken frame, you’ll have to check with the optician if you can get it fixed. Most opticians will only be able to reglaze your frames if they think the frame will not break during the reglazing process.
