Thumbs up Scottish Landscape Paintings

Miniature Landscape Paintings After two weeks NCAA Jerseys of “refurbishin” the studio, I have finally returned to painting. It really was like getting back to meeting an old friend. I love painting so much and I can’t imagine ever not painting now. I have been easing myself back in with some small scale Scottish landscapes. Althought they are small, they are on chunky deep edged canvas which gives them a really appealing appearance – well, to me anyway. I have ideas of landscapes in my head based on Badachro, Colonsay, Tongue and the beautiful Isle of Skye. Again this summer I have not managed to break free from the grip of the City for various reasons and I am working from memory and from various photographs which I have taken. These paintings are only about 9 to 12 inches high and there is something about the intimacy of painting NHL Jerseys small scale which teaches an artist new things after periods of painting with big broad brushes. I am hoping that there will be a series of these paintings before I return NBA Jerseys to figurative work as I currently have a whole series of figurative painting ideas swimming around in my head. The new, cleaner feel to the studio is making me so enthusiastic about getting to work each day and I am really looking forward to the forthcoming period. Today I also got to meet fellow WASPS artist Paul Kennedy. Paul and his brother Adam Kennedy are becoming well known in art circles and Adam won the final Aspect Prize this year. I really get a lot from other people’s opinion on my painting. It is always especially helpful when another artist gives a point of view and Paul had some really interesting things to say about my art. Mainly concerning sharpening specific areas of paintings and leaving the remainder as is. This is the second painter to have said this to me this year AED/EUR so it is certainly something which I would like to take on board and experiment with. Incoming search terms:colonsay`','`
