2011 NBA Playoff Special: Anta Gold Kevin Garnett KG 1
At the end of the 2009-2010 season, the heart and soul of the Boston Celtics, Kevin Garnett, surprised everyone by leaving Adidas for a little known (in the United States) Chinese company – Anta.* Being sponsored by Nike, And 1, and Adidas through the years, Garnett is no stranger to change.* Garnett has made an immediate impact for the company upon arrival, becoming their signature basketball athlete.* Starting off strong, the first shoe for KG comes in the <a href="http://www.redwing-world.com/"><strong>ブーツレッドウィング</strong></a> form of a signature model.* Littered with "KG" logos all around, the first Kevin Garnett Anta is definitely a standout among signature models this year.* Our 2011 NBA Playoff Spotlight Special looks at the special edition gold Anta KG 1. With the most championships in the history of the NBA, the Boston Celtics have set the gold standard.* Fittingly, this version of the KG 1 has the leather upper covered in gold, with the signature green and white serving as accent colors.* For the outsole, the Celtic green is complimented with rectangular <a href="http://www.redwing-world.com/レッドウィング-3168-c-13.html"><strong>レッドウィング3168</strong></a> white sections at the forefoot.* At the midfoot, a shiny gold plate resides, embossed with the new "KG" logo.* The "KG" logo is also observed on the heel and at the forefoot, a small "5" can be found.* Above the outsole, the midsole is done in all white, with a gold plate bearing the number 5 placed on the heel.* The gold upper is outlined in white, with a black swirl pattern.* On the lateral side, the Anta check logo is designed in green, again with the "KG" logo.* Done in the same <a href="http://www.redwing-world.com/"><strong>レッドウィング靴</strong></a> fashion are the eyelets on the collar, this time with a "5" stamped in the middle of the two eyelets.* Finally, the intensity of Kevin Garnett is shown on the tongue where the eyes of the future hall of famer glare straight at you. As the Boston Celtics have been eliminated tonight at the hands of the Miami Heat, the high standards of the most winning franchise in NBA history have not been met.* With Garnett having a solid year, which included an All-Star appearance and being voted to the All-Defensive 1st team, the first signature Anta can not be forgotten in his sneaker history.* Anta has yet to enter the US market, although they have two high profile NBA athletes in their roster (Kevin Garnett and Luis Scola).* The future of Anta in the basketball sneaker industry, and in the US market, is unclear at the moment.* It will be interesting to see if more superstars switch to the Chinese brand, <a href="http://e263.com/blog/guestbook.php"><strong>The mbt shoes are from factory | buy cheap mbt shoes</strong></a> and if the brand will follow in the footsteps of companies like Li-Ning in attempting to establish themselves in the North America (or Europe for that matter).* In any case, for Kevin Garnett and Boston Celtic fans, the gold Anta Kevin Garnett signature shoe was, unfortunately, a limited Asia only release.* Hopefully, next year we will see the Anta KG II reach a wider audience.
