i have a dell inspiron 9300 with windows xp. It is pretty new only about a year and a half old,
Microsoft Office 2007, but has been running slow lately. So I was thinking I should just upgrade to windows vista. Is it compatible?

you should just try reformatting your harddrive and reinstalling windows xp,
Windows 7 Activation, Vista is not that wonderful right now.
