5 Tips to Make Wedding Planning Easier
There are a lot of "shoulds" when it comes to planning a wedding. If you are engaged, you know just what I mean - you probably have ten people a day tell you that you should do this or should not do that for your wedding. Some of the "shoulds" are definitely musts (for instance Empire Bridesmaid Dresses, one must send thank you notes for gifts received) cheap bridesmaid dresses, but there are plenty of shoulds that are really more like maybes. Take a look at these five tips to make your wedding planning easier, and knock these "shoulds" off your list to make more room for your wishes and dreams.
Should One: If you have a friend or relative with some kind of talent, you should hire him or her for your wedding to save money. This is a piece of advice sure to go wrong. Just because your uncle or your fiance's college roommate knows his way around a digital camera does not mean that he is qualified to create a comprehensive wedding photography collection for you. And your pal who was such a great d.j. at your college parties? Not only may he not know how to cater to the mixed tastes of a wedding crowd or have all the right sound equipment, he may be legally unable to perform in a venue which requires outside vendors to have insurance. Let your friends and family come to your wedding as guests and leave the other stuff to the professionals.
Should Two: Every bride should wear a white gown with a long train and a bridal veil for her wedding ceremony. This old "should" is definitely outdated. The bride should wear what makes her feel the most beautiful. If that means a tea length 1950s inspired taffeta dress with a birdcage veil bridesmaid dresses, than that is your wedding dress. If you want to add a splash of color to a more traditional wedding gown, add a colorful sash or unique bridal jewelry. Just don't let anyone force you to wear something that does not feel like you.
Should Three: You should have equal numbers of men and women in your wedding party. This is a big no-no. The people you should have in your wedding are those that mean the most to you. If that means four bridesmaids and five groomsmen, so be it. It is silly to search around for one extra girl to put in a fancy dress and bridesmaid jewelry just to even out the numbers. She might look just as pretty as the other ladies in their bridesmaid dresses and jewelry, but if the extra person is there simply to balance out numbers, her presence will not add to your enjoyment of your wedding. If there is one extra person on a side, have the wedding party walk single file during the recessional Pink Bridesmaid Dresses, and it won't matter one bit.
Should Four: You should invite everyone to your wedding that ever invited you to theirs. When you start adding up all those extra invitations on both the bride and groom's side Chiffon Bridesmaid Dresses, it come out to a lot of guests Gold Bridesmaid Dresses! No need to go broke hosting people with whom you barely see anymore. Unless they are people that you see frequently and they are friends with all the other friends you plan to invite, don't fret about asking those "obligatory" guests to your wedding. The truth is, if you are no longer close, they might be just as happy to stay home and save the expense of the travel and wedding gift.
Should Five: If you need to save money, you should do everything yourself. Without a doubt, there are some things that a creative bride can make for her own wedding and save money. On the other hand, remember that you are paying retail for everything, and by the time you have gathered all the supplies you need, you might very well end up spending as much or more for items than if you had just bought them.
Speaking from experience Sheath Bridesmaid Dresses, I can say that this is particularly true of wedding favors (remember, it is not just the gift but the packaging too). In some cases, hiring a wedding planner to help you can actually be a smart investment. A good planner will not only contribute fun ideas to your event Taffeta Bridesmaid Dresses, but will help to keep you on budget by using her contacts to negotiate the best rates will all your wedding vendors. Not only that, but if you don't try to do it all yourself, you will actually have the time to enjoy your engagement and wedding Bateau Bridesmaid Dresses, and that is truly priceless.
