1994年来自德国「谜」(Enigma)乐团推出了一张充满新世纪色彩的葛利果宗教音乐,在全球创下千万 张的销售量,奠定 New Age 的位置,和古典乐、流行乐鼎足而立於吒当今乐坛.在当时,堪称音乐界最大的震动,音乐界人士都认为新世纪音 乐的时代终於降临了.

New Age的特色
1.节奏:

确实,从反水的角度而言,新纪元和浪漫主义有很多相似之处.音乐史上每一种新的风格,都是在时髦与反时兴的 奋斗中构成的.就像持重的古典主义是对轻盈的洛可可风格的反叛;情感至上的浪漫主义又是对崇尚形式的古典主 义的反叛一样,新纪元音乐是轻音乐范畴里的后现代主义思潮对传统审美观点的反叛.所不同的是,古典的也罢, 浪漫的也罢,它们的反叛都是在传统的审美范围中进行的.只管在风格上、思维观念上有很多变迁,但二者的背地 却有着独特的哲学观念,那就是对生命、对快乐的懂得:生命属于我们只有一次,应当活得高尚而有意思.平衡、 和谐、安定是这世界上最完美的境界.然而二十世纪的哲学新潮--过程主义的拥戴者们却认为,过程和最终是对峙的两个哲学领域.生活应当是生命的自由的过程,它是最实际的存 在;活着,就应该努力去领会这过程.生命如果被外力---例如种种功名利禄的终极目的---所牵制,就被下降为机械而不自由的过程,这也就否认了生命的价值.因此,为着打消这种异化的最好的道路,就 是自我松绑,返璞归真,转变传统的以将来某个目标为生涯中央的人生观,把自己从功利目标中解放 出来.
随同着这种哲学,西方呈现了反感性的艺术,它的重要观点是,在作品中强调或为着树立一个终纵目 标--例如热潮或是核心--以及为此所作的种种尽力,那是对艺术的实质的约束.性命既是一种保护和扩大本人的过程,那么协调、安宁、均 衡便是不可能永恒存在的.追求完善是不切实际的. |
