Hi there everyone,
Microsoft Office 2007 Sale,
completely new but have study all of the help/documentation and (nearly all) forum posts concerning SEF/SEO troubles but i am having a particular difficulty that i can find an answer to. (if this issue has already obtained an answer make sure you allow me to know where

Joomla v1.five.7 (new set up with no alterations/addtions)
when turn Seo url's on in worldwide configuration (i have needed to alter htaccess.txt to .htaccess ) the functionality operates well.
the problem comes when i visit every other page on the website,
Office 2007 Ultimate,
Windows Server 2008 Active Directory Certificate Services Step-By-Step Guide, the template fails to load and i've just the base content with out styling and so forth...
some fixes i have currently looked into:
- I've installed joomla about the root directory
- I've checked: apparently mod_rewrite is on inside the server (however when i "uncomment" the mod_rewrite is on line in htaccess i get a server error 500 ((may this indicate that mod_rewrite is not on for my server?)))
- I've also tried "uncommenting" rewritebase \ in htaccess (i do not get a sever error 500,
Office Standard 2007 Product Key, but this make no difference to the template dilemma)
I have found one other forum post with this dilemma,
