Apparel Retailers Report Sales, Issue Guidance
Apparel retailers <a href="http://www.monclerdownjacket2u.com/moncler-coats-mens-c-78.html"><strong>Moncler Down Jacket</strong></a> reported a mixed bag of October and third quarter sales results today, and several hiked their earnings expectations. Limited Brands ( LTD - news - people ) posted October same-store sales growth of 6%, slightly shy of analyst expectations. The company said it is hiking its fiscal third quarter earnings expectations to 0.22 to 0.24 per share, compared to a prior forecast of 0.17 to 0.22 per share. Aeropostale ( ARO - news - people ) also hiked its earnings forecast for the third quarter today.Same-store <a href="http://www.monclerdownjacket2u.com/moncler-vests-c-80.html"><strong>Moncler Vest</strong></a> sales actually fell 9% in the third quarter, but the teen retailer said higher gross margins are allowing it to increase its quarterly earnings forecast to 0.27 to 0.28 per share, compared to a prior outlook of 0.09 to 0.15 per share. American Eagle Outfitters ( AEO - news - people ) said it is now expecting earnings of 0.26 to 0.27 per share in the third quarter, compared to a prior forecast of 0.22 to 0.27 <a href="http://www.monclerdownjacket2u.com/moncler-coats-womens-c-79.html"><strong>Moncler</strong></a> per share.The teen retailer said same-store sales rose 5% in the third quarter. And Gap ( GPS - news - people ) posted a 6% decline in October same-store sales today, worse than analysts had expected. Same-store sales fell 5% for the third quarter.
